After the Raw Spirit Festival I took a side tour to Santa Monica, and really fell in love all over again.  Here are some of my latest ramblings…

Santa Monica
95 degrees, beaches, raw food, exercise… what else could you ask for?  

I grabbed a “Big Matt” burger at Rawvolution, and then headed down to the Santa Monica beach.  I knew people in LA were into fitness, but man.  There were people exercising everywhere.  Rollerbladers, joggers, runners, bikers, surfers, swimmers, and people swinging around on outdoor adult jungle gyms.  Where do you go and find giant structures with rings hanging down that you can just swing around and have fun on… for adults?  I was loving it.  The environment and energy there just made me want to break a sweat.

I then headed over to Au Lac later on for dinner with a few friends.  It was pretty amazing because I wanted to get a chance to talk to Steve Prussack from Raw Vegan Radio while we were in Sedona but I never got a chance to.  So who do you suppose just happens to be at Au Lac when I roll in.  You guessed it. 

We all had a wonderful time, catered to with love and care by Chef Ito, and even some chocolate treats from Eddie and Anhi of Smiley Chocolate.  Thank God for Smiley Chocolate, a perfect way to end the evening.

I am so excited that I get to go back.  I will be in LA giving a lecture/dinner on Oct 25th.  More info to come.
