Essential Oils

I am constantly being asked, "what are you wearing?"

I admit, I am a big essential oils fan.  I enjoy everything from applying them to my body, adding them to my water, smelling them in my hands, diffusing them in a room, and most importantly sharing them with others.  I thought it was about time for me to share my fragrant secret with you...

Essential oils can be used from every thing from soothing sore muscles to aiding in digestion, improving concentration, or just as a beautiful perfume replacement.

The research on them is endless, and the variety that they have come up with is mind-boggling. I encourage you to check out the site and discover which oils resonate with you.  Peppermint is my favorite, and I usually wear it daily.

Peppermint (Mentha piperita) has a strong, clean, fresh, minty aroma. One of the oldest and most highly regarded herbs for soothing digestion, it may also restore digestive efficiency.* Jean Valnet MD studied peppermint's supportive effect on the liver and respiratory systems. Other scientists have also researched peppermint's role in improving taste and smell when inhaled. Dr. William N. Dember of the University of Cincinnati studied peppermint's ability to improve concentration and mental sharpness. Alan Hirsch MD studied peppermint's ability to directly affect the brain's satiety center, which triggers a sensation of fullness after meals. This powerful essential oil is often diluted before topical application. Peppermint may also be used to enhance the flavor of food and water.

I'm surprised you don't favor MLM business models. They are most like social marketing. Building a community. Robert Kiyosaki of 'Rich Dad' fame notes it's one of the best business models if you want to learn how to run a business.

I was thinking of this when I was at the shopping mall - I stopped at Body and Bath (???) and they had some oils. I wasn't sure which one to get so I decided to hold off on the purchase and come back here.

When you get these tiny bottles of oil, obviously, there isn't enough to really spread it all over the place so how do you use the oil? Do you put dabs on both sides of your neck (like I do with shaving lotion)? Or do you spread a drop or two, rub them on your hands and then put on your face?

I'm curious.

Stephen,

You can put drops on the side of your neck, wrists, wherever... or you can dilute some in a spray in spray it. You can put them on your hands and make a cave over your nose and smell it, or you can diffuse it. Some you can massage directly in an open wound for fast healing... like lavender. They are quite amazing.
