Karen Knowler
Philip McCluskey on
Saturday, May 31, 2008 Last week I took the train to Ely to visit Karen Knowler. Karen is an author, speaker, and rawfood coach for both individuals and coaches alike. She is also the former managing director of The Fresh Network.
I met Karen in person a few months back when we flew her in to speak at the Successfully Raw event in NYC. I was so impressed with her devotion to making a change, and guiding others... we were friends instantly. I was so grateful to be invited to spend time with her and her son Luke. Ely was a beautiful place filled with lots of open space and countryside. Quite a nice change from London.
Enjoy some pictures of our time together.

Karen and I enjoying a bench in the park.

A beautiful horse in the distance. They don't have scenes like that in NYC.

A picture of myself taking a picture in a mirror of the ceiling in a cathedral.

Enjoying a smile in front of an amazing wooden door. I love wood. I like it better in tree form though.
This was a picture, un-photoshopped, that I took of my finger after I picked my first my first nettle, and stung myself. :)
Enjoy more pictures here.
Thank you Karen for your friendship, love, and hospitality.

Hi Philip,
Thanks so much for sharing these photos! I was in Ely in Karen's Raw Food Coaching course this past March, and I spend the subsequent two days in Ely and Cambridge. I didn't have my camera with me - so I especially love the photos of the Cathedral since I spent significant time there. I'm loving your entire virtual tour by photos and your write-ups! Thanks again for sharing.
Love,
Dawn
Hi Philip, I'm a Londoner and I know Camdem very well. Whilst it's a cool place I'm glad to see you got to see other places in England too. Ely (and to a lesser extent) Brighton must indeed have made a lovely contrast to London. I've never been - I should sign up for one of Karen's courses!
Incidentally, the pictures of you and Angela Stokes are so beautiful! A great testimony to a raw lifestyle.
