I Want Some Dessert!

When out of town friends come to visit me in NYC the first question is, "where's the raw desserts?"  So I decided to put together a list of my top five tasty treats for your drooling pleasure.

1.  Moon Pie - One Lucky Ducky
Coated with a chocolate covering, stuffed with a rich creme filling and fluffy cupcake like interior, this chocolate delight is the latest craze and everyones favorite.  Take your time eating it though, its a heavy treat.

2.  Gnosis Chocolate - Various Stores
Vanessa Barg rocks this company out with 100's of stores carrying her chocolate worldwide and over 30 stores in NYC alone.  This handmade organic raw vegan delight is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth, while at the same time providing you with super potent nutrients.  

3.  Blue Mountain Ice Cream - Various Stores
Ice cream without the dairy... what?  Yup, this cashew cream based ice cream tastes just like the real deal, and is reasonably priced and comes in six flavors too.  The chocolate is better than I ever remember dairy ice cream to be... it pulls me towards it like a tractor beam every time I enter Live Live.

4.  Chai Latte - Quintessence
Not technically a dessert but definitely close.  My favorite raw, warm drink comes with a fresh blend raw cashew nut milk.  Impress your date with this delicious drink, and don't be embarrassed when you go to order a second.

5.  Mallomar - One Lucky Duck
Imagine a cracker, covered with a dollop of whipped cream, and then dowsed with hardened chocolate.  That's what we're looking at here.  Cold, whipped, and chocolate crunchy perfection.  A crowd pleaser every time.  

* Note - The Classic Sundae from Pure Food & Wine was my first choice but was not chosen due to the fact that its seasonal and was not available at the time I made the video.  It is now back on the menu.  Woohoo!
