2/29/08 - Juicing On The Road
It takes quite a commitment to start a prolonged juice feast, and can feel even more overwhelming when juicing on the road. I have been visiting a friend in NY for the past week so I have had some time to put together a game plan. It's easy to juice at home, but I don't think anybody wants to stay in one place for 92 days. The key to successful juice travel? Be Prepared!
Travel Tips:
1. Bring your own food: If you are unfamiliar with the location that you are going to, and traveling by car, purchase your produce before leaving home. Sometimes it can be hard to find good produce in a strange town, especially organic.
2. Bring your NCD Zeolite: This is especially important when traveling. And if traveling by airplane definitely up your dose. The air in an airport or on a plane is some of the worst you can expose yourself to. Be sure to take at least 15 drops before going on the plane, while on the plane, and after leaving the airport. [If you do plan on purchasing Zeolites, please consider buying from Loving Raw]
2/26/08 - Chocolate Lovers Only
Gnosis Chocolate
I have done a few chocolate reviews in the past but Gnosis Chocolate really is a new favorite. Vanessa Barg, owner of Gnosis Chocolate and Certified Holistic Health Counselor is a chocolate alchemist, and has really done an amazing job with combining a love for chocolate with potent superfoods and medicinal herbs. Besides the delicious taste, and the love for cacao, some of her clients and customers are even experiencing physical healing from the ingredients contained within her bars.
And if that weren't enough, she also makes CustoMade, or custom bars designed to your liking. This is great for those that want to pack in certain nutrients and herbs all in a yummy package.
I find her chocolate to be the freshest, most nutrient dense, high integrity raw organic bars on the market today. I ran across a special (See below) on the website GI2MR that I am apart of and wanted to pass that along to you.
Enjoy!
2/24/08 - Liquid Oxygen
Wheatgrass is one of the most amazing liquids that you can put inside your body. If you don’t know much about it here are some stats:
Lowers blood pressure
Cleanses the blood
Increases red blood cell count
Stimulates the thyroid
Stimulates the metabolism
Reduces over-acidity
Restores alkalinity
Protects liver
Basically it contains Liquid Oxygen! Being 70% chlorophyll, it is almost identical to hemoglobin, the oxygen carrier in our blood.
2/22/08 - Got Endurance?
My Check List
- Juice Feasting 1 Month – CHECK!
- Raw endurance and strength – CHECK!
- Weigh less that I did when I was 17 – CHECK!
Energy
One of the most common questions that I have been asked while on the Juice Feast is: “Do you have energy?”
The short answer: YES
When you take the time to give your body a rest from the constant eating, digesting, and processing, you will find your body will happily thank you and will reward you with a surplus of energy and mental clarity.
Sure there may be a period that your body will go through detox and be pretty sluggish, but after that passes you will be pleasantly surprised.
There really is nothing that can compare to the feeling. One night I was out and about and literally slept for 45 minutes before starting the new day… and I still was fine.
Emptiness
This adventure in Juice Feasting is quite an experience of being Empty.
Emptiness in my stomach
Emptiness in my emotions
Emptiness in my mind
2/14/08 - Won't You Be Mine
Happy Valentine’s Day! XOXO
... you all know how much I love you!
As an official Ambassador of the GI2MR welcoming committee, I must say that the flux of new members is staggering, and with great variety too! We have teens just getting started, people interested in weight loss, those overcoming illnesses, and just a wide range of all ages of people who are just fed up with the status quo and want more from life!
- They want to Shine!
- They want to Glow!
- They want to Keep it Juicy!
I can’t think of a better time than Valentine’s Day to acknowledge all of our efforts to remain healthy, fit, full of energy, and loving ourselves. No matter what stage you’re at or how long you have been “raw,” I congratulate you on a job well done! So whether you have that special someone in your life or not, I encourage you to be your own Valentine this year.
- Write yourself a letter of appreciation…
